Supporting the Future of USA BMX Athletes

Oak Creek BMX is proud to host a Bob Warnicke Scholarship Race on Saturday, May 9th, supporting one of the most meaningful programs in the BMX community.

This special event helps raise funds for the Bob Warnicke Scholarship Program, which provides educational scholarships to graduating USA BMX high school seniors pursuing community college, university, or trade school education.

Since 2013, the program has awarded more than $700,000 in scholarships to BMX student-athletes across the United States and Canada. Last year alone, 74 scholarships ranging from $500 to $3,000 were awarded to recipients in 27 states and three Canadian provinces.

By participating in this race, riders are helping support the future of BMX athletes both on and off the track.

Why the Bob Warnicke Scholarship Matters

Bob Warnicke played a major role in growing the sport of BMX and expanding its visibility to millions of viewers. His legacy continues through the scholarship program, which recognizes BMX athletes who demonstrate dedication in both academics and athletics.

Funds raised through races like this one help ensure that BMX riders have opportunities to pursue their educational goals after high school.

The application period for the scholarship runs each year from November through January through the USA BMX Foundation.
